This is the first shot I want to show you from Hilljam, the Big Air Contest I was shooting yesterday.
It was a great, exhausting, long and very inspiring experience for me.
We had to go from people shots (with as much sponsor logos in them as possible) to nice action (much sponsor logos in them preferred as well) shots. Well yeah, I had a lot to learn yesterday. I always only shot Skate- and Fingerboarding which is so completely different to this Big Air Snowsports. Other sports, you can be five steps away from your subject and get the entire shot perfectly. Or you go badass near and shoot with a fisheye. On this scale this wasn’t necessairy. My 50mm lens gives you nice longlense shots, 50m away gives you nice distance to see the entire size of the set up. I worked with that one flash you can see bottom left and radio slaves. First time to shoot with radios as well.
Thanks www.hilljam.ch for letting me be part of this thing, the entire event was very laid back and pretty much fun all the time. a great day with a lot of nice shots!
By The Way, you best check the original picture on flickr ;)
