I guess the wrecked frame, the color shifts and the blurryness make this one of my favorite landscapes of 2012.

Earlier I talked about the modification for the Diana Mini I did, and this is the result of those long overlapping pictures.

You know, once the light is perfect, the mood is perfect, you can’t stop at one good picture, you take a couple of them.
I guess Eva already knew this and really enjoyed us being out there and shooting great pictures.

DIANA MINI - LOMOGRAPHY XPRO CHROME 100(by maxwellmaxen on Lomography)
After the trigger of my Diana Mini broke off in Canada last year, I let it sit for quite some time. It was clear that this would happen sooner or later, being a very cheaply produced Camera. Still it hurt, because it was my first Lomo Camera and I’ve been half around the world with it. So this was basically the reason why i did not throw it out.
I thought about it, and came to a solution. cutting out the frame for half format let’s me shoot endless strips and overlapping pictures, experimental stuff that has no practical use at all, but might be fun. As a trigger i used a screwdriver to poke into the cable-release hole. It all works.
I guess I shot this picture in November 2011, but finished the film somewhere around the end of January 2012, so it got processed in 2012 and thus is labelled 2012.
This is Eva, enjoying the forest, colorful leaves and of course the sun. A picture that has, even though it’s darkness, a beautiful meanig for me and thus is part of the 2012 review.

The next shot from my review.
I have always been fascinated with deconstruction and tearing down of buildings. This special one has a certain meaning for me. My mother worked a long time in the building next to it and so i’ve seen this on at least a weekly basis, because i went to visit the newsroom she worked in at least once a week. I loved how it smelled there, how everyone worked, how something new got made on a daily basis.
Right now they are building amazing new housing there, so to the win of a tearing down picture, i also got new nice buildings instead of old ones.

Besides the Dirt on the Film, this is one of my favorite Landscapes I have shot this year.

I got rid of my old chemicals and finally got to do a new batch. Now I will have to order new chemicals in a few weeks, but more important, I run out of sleeves for 35mm film. So I will have to order at the time I’m about to finish the next 35mm roll. Well, I hope I have a bit of money until then.
This shot turned out great, I think. The sky looks amazing and the mirror stretches the picture like an ultra wide angle lens. And of course, I love pictures with me in it. ;)
